BeanPool maintains a strict, unconditional zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We prohibit any user from uploading, sharing, storing, or promoting content that exploits, harms, or endangers children. Any account found doing this is removed from the community where it happened, and we ask every operator we can reach to remove it too. On the global community and the communities we run, we remove it ourselves.
Moderation in BeanPool is done by the community itself, not by a central team. It is worth being precise about who acts, because it is the person who can.
Any member can report. From the app you can report a marketplace post, an item in The Pulse, an event, or another member, and you give a reason when you do.
Your community's node operator reviews the reports. Every community runs its own node, and the person or group who runs it sees the reports filed on that node. They can remove the reported post, take down the Pulse item, and suspend the member's account. There is no central BeanPool moderation team standing behind them, and we do not hold your community's content; each community is independent, which also means a suspension applies on that node. On the global community, and the communities we run, we are the operator and review reports ourselves.
Groups and enterprises moderate their own spaces. A group's convenor manages who is in it, an enterprise's keepers can remove messages from that enterprise's discussion thread, and an event's host can remove messages from its chat.
Reports that concern child safety are the highest priority an operator has, and the fastest route for one is the escalation address below.
Where we run the community, we remove material that violates our CSAE policy at once and report it to the authorities as the law requires. Where someone else runs it, we pass every report we receive to its operator and to the authorities. We reserve the absolute right to preserve data and report offending users, associated metadata, and technical details directly to law enforcement authorities, including local and regional cyber-crime operational centers.
BeanPool is designed for adult community coordination. Individuals under the age of 18 are strongly discouraged from utilizing the local mutual credit exchange without strict parental supervision. We do not run automated or routine audits of member profiles, and we will not claim to: BeanPool holds no central copy of a local community's members or content, so there is nothing for us to sweep. Enforcement runs on reports — any account reported and confirmed to belong to a minor should be suspended by that community's node operator (on communities we run, we suspend it), and we will ask every operator we can reach to do the same.
If you believe you have encountered a violation of our Child Safety Standards, please immediately report the user within the application. For urgent safety concerns or to contact our trust and safety representatives directly, please email [email protected] or [email protected].
