What the map shows

The pins on the Map, what their colours mean, and the buttons around them.

Pins

Tap Map in the row of tabs. The map shows your community's posts:

Green pins: Offers.
Orange pins: Needs.
Purple pins with a calendar: events that have not finished yet.

A pin shows the post's category picture. Where many Offers and Needs are close together, they join into a circle with a number. The circle is blue on the phone and dark grey in the web app. Zoom in to see them one by one. Events always show on their own.

People and groups are not on the map. In the web app, an enterprise that has set a place shows as a square pin with its picture. Tap it to open the enterprise.

Polls are not on the map either. The one exception is on the phone, in the global community, where a poll can show as a pin at its poster's area. It looks like an orange Need pin, and shows only under All.

Tapping a pin

An Offer or a Need: a card shows the title and who posted it. Tap View Details to open it. On the phone, tap their name to see their profile. Tap the map or ✕ to close the card.
An event: a card shows when and where, and how many are going. Tap View event. In the web app the button is View Details, and you can also tap Going or Interested on the card.

Filters

On the phone, at the top of the map:

All, Offers, Needs or Events. Tap ✕ to clear.
All Categories to show one category.
For events: All, Today, This weekend or Next 7 days. The map moves to fit them.

In the web app the map has only the event date chips: Today, This weekend, Next 7 days and All events. They show only while your community has an event coming up.

Buttons on the left

On the phone, the moon or sun: a dark or light map.
The target: show where you are. The first time, the app asks for permission to use your location.
+ and −: zoom.

The amber circle shows the area your community serves.

Adding a post from the map

Tap + ADD POST. In the web app, tap the round + at the bottom right. See "Posting an Offer or a Need".
