Events
Create an event, say you are going, and run it as the host.
Finding events
- In the Market, tap Events. Choose Today, This weekend or Next 7 days.
- On the Map, tap Events to see them as purple pins.
Going
On an event, tap Going or Interested. Tap your choice again to clear it.
When you are Going:
- you can read the host's Note for people who are going;
- you can open the event chat. See "Event chat".
Tap the event to see everything, and Show on map to open the place in your phone's maps app.
Creating an event
- Tap + ADD POST on the Market tab or the Map, then Event.
- Title, and when it Starts. Ends is optional; it is 2 hours later unless you change it.
- Place name, like "Town hall".
- Put the pin on the map: tap the map, search Find an address, or tap Use my location. Tap Approximate (~100 m) if you do not want the exact spot shown. See "Where your pin goes".
- A Description, and a photo if you like.
- Note for people who are going: only they will see it. A good place for the exact address or a gate code.
- Who can see it: your whole community, or one group.
- If you keep an enterprise or look after a group, Post as lets you post the event in its name.
- Tap Create. Your event is in the Market and on the Map.
Running your event
Open your event. As the host you can:
- see Who's going;
- Edit event. If you change the time or the place, everyone going is told;
- Copy to a new date, to run it again;
- Cancel event, then Cancel event again to confirm. Everyone going can see it is cancelled, and its chat becomes read-only.
