Sharing your channels
Put your YouTube, blog, Instagram and other channels on the Pulse.
Add a channel
- In the Pulse, tap + Channels. On the phone you can also open Settings and tap Channels & Showcase.
- Tap + Add a channel.
- Under Where do you post?, choose the site.
- Type or paste Your link or handle.
- Under What's it about?, choose a subject.
- Tap Add channel.
Each site works a little differently. The screen says which:
- Updates itself (YouTube, SoundCloud, a blog): new posts appear on the Pulse by themselves.
- A tap per post (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook): share each post by hand. Where the screen offers Connect TikTok or Connect Instagram, you can link the account instead. Your posts then come in when you connect and each time you tap ↻ Sync videos. Your community's server does not fetch them by itself. The link is kept on this phone only. Signing out of the phone removes it. When you come back the channel keeps its badge, but to bring in posts again tap Disconnect, then Connect TikTok or Connect Instagram again.
- Shows as a card (a website).
Connect TikTok and Connect Instagram are only in the phone app. In the web app, share each post with + Share post.
Verified accounts
- When you tap Connect TikTok or Connect Instagram, your community's server asks Instagram or TikTok which account you signed in to. The channel is marked verified only when that is the account on the channel.
- Signed in to a different account? The screen says so. Sign in to the right account and tap the same Connect button again.
- Add the channel as your @handle so it can be checked. A short link cannot be.
- Facebook channels are never marked verified.
- If a channel says Reconnect to restore your verified badge, tap Reconnect TikTok or Reconnect Instagram.
On each channel
- Show on the local feed: switch it off to keep this channel's posts off the Pulse.
- + Share post: add one post by hand.
- Change (Change category in the web app): pick another subject.
- Make main: choose your main video channel.
- Remove: take the channel off.
Sharing one post
Tap Share a post to Pulse. Paste the Post URL, check which channel and subject it belongs to, and tap Share to Pulse.
Remember
Whatever you share to the Pulse is shown with your name and photo. Everyone in your community can see it. People who have not joined cannot.
