Groups

Create or join a group, post to it, and look after it as a convenor.

What a group is

A group is a place for some people rather than everyone: a working group, a project team, a guild or a social circle. Groups do not hold beans. Being in one does not change your trust or your vote.

Groups are in Commons, under Groups. Choose My Groups to see yours, or a kind of group to browse.

Joining

Open a group, then:

If a convenor removed you from a group, you cannot join it again by yourself.

To leave, open the group and tap Leave Group.

Posting to a group

Open the group and tap Post to and its name. Only the group's members see the post. It shows in the Market with a lock and the group's name. On the Market, the group buttons show only that group's posts.

Starting a group

Convenors

A convenor looks after the group. Under Convenor Tools they can:

The last convenor cannot step down or leave while anyone else is still in the group.

Coming soon

These are being built. The screens for them are not in the app yet:

The old group chats in Talk were removed in version 1.2.38.

The same guide is in the BeanPool app, and works there without a connection: open Settings, then "Help & how it works" under BeanPool. Guide version 6.
